At Mindful Solutions we take a systemic, strengths-based approach to working with couples, families, and individuals.
Although both partners may benefit from individual treatment, a couple's well-being depends on the strength of the relational patterns and dynamic. The focus of couples therapy is on the relationship itself, rather than on the individuals in the partnership.
Family therapy can be especially helpful to explore and change dynamics that no longer work. By having multiple family members in the room, the therapist can collaborate with and involve each member directly in creating desired changes. As systemically-trained therapists, we use many techniques which often include a psychoeducational approach. We encourage involvement of the direct and indirect family system in the work, and if possible, in the room.
We work with individuals of all ages and provide a safe space to explore areas of life which may be a struggle. Together we will create and work toward goals for the therapeutic work. We compassionately challenge our clients to grow, while providing comfort in the therapeutic environment.
