Cathy is a full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and the Executive Director of Mindful Solutions, LLC. She received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University where she obtained comprehensive clinical training at The Family Institute's Bette D. Harris Family and Child Clinic as well as in the Community Program working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She is a National Clinical Fellow member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Cathy was selected to be a Teaching Assistant for the renowned Marriage 101 class at Northwestern University. The class has been widely discussed and has received international recognition due to its relevance and popularity. 

Cathy provides a nonjudgmental and safe therapeutic environment for her clients and she values client-therapist alliance above anything else. Cathy has a direct yet empathetic therapy style, collaborating with her clients to help them reach their goals. 


Cathy has a particular clinical interest in working with: Individual Adults, Couples, Partners looking for their voice in a relationship, individuals going through or contemplating divorce, Adults wanting help naming their emotions, Adults with relationship issues, Infidelity, Pre-Marital Counseling, Anxiety, Adolescents, Partners of Addicts, Couples who are happily married and want to work out kinks/issues to remain happily married, Codependency, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Work-Life balance, Family of Origin and family relationships, Setting Boundaries, Trauma, and Grief and Loss.


Cathy is an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor. She currently supervises Therapists-in-Training at the Family Institute at Northwestern University and offers supervision nationally. Cathy's supervising interests include supervising students obtaining their master degrees in therapy, post-graduates, and licensed clinicians. She is able to offer supervision toward licensure hours, pending confirmation of individual state requirements.


Cathy received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and in Psychology at Hope College. She received her supervision training and certificate from the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. 


Cathy accepts only self-pay clients and can provide Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.


Cathy is currently licensed in and accepting virtual clients in Illinois, Michigan, and Utah.
